Take It and Make It

I am linking up with 2nd Grade Pad for the Thursdays Take it and Make It Linky Party.

Each Thursday you can stop by for ideas to take and make in the classroom. It might be ideas for the classroom or your home and it may cost money or be free.

Today I am sharing with you my Egg-citing Word Families.

You can grab it as a freebie here.
You will need to purchase a pack of plastic eggs. You can write letters on your eggs with a permanent marker or print out letters & take it to the egg like in the picture above. If you grab my Egg-citing Word Families than students to search for the words listed on the Egg-citing Word Families Sheet to highlight or mark off as they create each word by connecting the eggs together.

  3. What a cute idea - thanks for sharing!

Last year I bought a bunch of the plastic eggs when they were majorly on sale after Easter - I'm always on the look-out for fun, creative ways to use them :)

    1. I love how making words with eggs can pretty much work with any grade. I also like to use them for prefixes and suffixes.

    1. My kiddos loved it too! It's funny because there are so many things I see on Pintrest or blogs and think to myself "hey we've been doing that for years in my class!" I just didn't know about TPT then or all this adorable clipart that I love adding to my teacher stuff that I typed up or made a while back.
