I am linking up with The Polished Teacher for her A-Z of Teacher Me! Linky.
A: App- Songza... I like to turn my music up loud.
B: Book Character- Amelia Bedelia, especially the younger version of her... She is one of my favorite and students just love her.
C: Clip Art- Just bought me some clip art from
D: Dollar Spot Find- A Buck or Two has some great finds. That's where I got my glitter magnets.
E: Essential to Start Day- Coffee and clean hair.
F: Font - letterdelights.com
G: Game- Settlers of Catan
H: Holiday- Mardi Gras... L-O-V-E the parades, beads, king cakes, parties, the school parade we always had... but--- now that I am up North there is no Mardi Gras celebrations around here (I will still have a king cake each year- we made one Sunday night) so now I guess it's mostly Chrisma. I have always loved Christmas because I love giving gifts, all the food, spending 2 weeks in the classroom learning about Christmas Around the Worl & all the cute gifts I get from kiddos.
I: Ice Cream- Chocolate, always been a chocolate ice cream kind of gal
J: Jewelry Piece- Anybody else out there love J. Crew, especially the fact that they offer a teacher discount?!
Have a black bubble necklace... It's my favorite.
I want this jewelry piece from J.Crew .
Oh yeah, and I want this one too!
K: Kid-ism- There are a million that I can think of... Hmm... "I didn't mean to do it! There's something wrong with my brain that just makes me be bad some times."
Thinking about how kids say the darnest things makes me this of this one time--- You wouldn't believe it but my 1st year teaching I actually had to have the sex talk with my class of 1st graders. They some how started talking about boyfriends & girlfriends and that one of them had sex. When I asked what they thought it meant a kid raised his hand & said "I had sex once." "I stayed over at my friend ______'s house (which was a friend of the opposite sex)". It turns out that they thought sex meant sleeping over at another friend's house. Boy was I ever relieved about that. I left it at- we're not going to discuss this at school & I don't want to hear it come out of anyone's mouth. It is inappropriate for kids. Then when I thought the "talk" was over the same kid raised his hand & said "Yeah because you can't have sex until you're 18." WOW! That was pretty scary conversation topic.
L: Location to Travel- as of right now to Mississippi, only because when we can travel I want to visit my family and friends, but I am hoping that we can start making Hawaii a regular vacation site.
M: Management Technique- Early Finisher list with the pictures showing their options for what to do when they finish a center activity. It's a pet peeve of mine when kids come up to me while I'm at guided reading with other students to ask me "What can I do now?". It helps big time!
N:Nail Polish- Merlot Joe Fresh nail polish
O: Open House Idea- I always have a slide show of pictures of the students doing activities and other things going during Open House. It keeps the parents pretty occupied after looking at all the student work. It is actually required at B.V.E.
P: Pinterest-
Q: Quote- "Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!" Dr. Seuss
R: Read - Aloud- Any good children's book is a good read-aloud.
S: School Supply- Clorox Wet Wipes & Kleenex... I wipe down the students' desks every day while kids are away at activity and after they leave for the day. I can't count throughout the day how many times I say "Go get a Kleenex."
T: TPT/TN Product- Deanna Jump's Common Core Kindergarten I Can posters
U:Un-official Hobby- I like making crafts & door swag.
V: Video Brain Break-Rainy Day Recess... you can check out one of their videos here

W: Way to Spend a Day Off- Sleeping in and shopping.
X: X-tra Special Blogs I Heart- But there are so many out there that I love!
Sorry... I wish I could just put everyone, but there are 5 special educators out there in the blogging world that I feel like I have connected with in these past short weeks/months. While I read many blogs out there (not as many as I would like) & see many great ideas on different blogs in this big bloggy world, these 5 fabulous ladies are just the sweetest. I swear they must stop by my blog at least once a week and leave a nice comment or to just give me a "you rock" which I think it just super wonderful. Who would've ever thought there were real genuine teacher bloggers out there?! I mean the ones that actually provide feedback & help a sista out. :)

Y: Yummy Dessert-There are tons out there... I swear after every Sunday family dinner we eat a new one or at least one that I haven't had in a while. The donut cake is a favorite of mine.
Z: Zoo Animal- For students I'd say monkeys. For me I'd say lion. They are just so cute as babies.
So go link up already if you haven't yet.
