So this year my school has started implementing the Zones of Regulation. At first I wasn't too sure about it but the more I have gotten to know my students and read the Zones of Regulation the more I like it. My friends in my class really need the extra support to help them learn about different emotions, recognize how they are feeling, recognize how others are feeling and a variety of tools to help them regulate their feelings. They especially need extra support in how to react to how they are feeling. I have found that the lessons in the Zones of Regulation book at not as early education friendly. I have began typing up my lessons and creating supplements for the Zones. You can check it out here. So far my kiddos are really enjoying it.
