Happy housewarming! Your house sounds like the place to be! Christmas music, candles and snow! So cozy! I love this time of year!
I saw your wacky tacky day picture and it looks like such a fun day! Was it for tacky the penguin? If so I am definitely going to have to incorporate that day into my teachings! I love Tacky the Penguin!
Thanks so much! Yes, we just love Wacky Tacky Day. It was actually for Red Ribbon Week to promote a drug-free school, but Wacky Tacky day would work perfectly for Tacky the Penguin. I always keep spare ribbon, fabric, and feather boas in my room for those students who forget to dress up. Thanks for following!
How nice to have a new home. I would totally be going crazy buying new decor. Have you tried scentsy candles. I think they're the best. Whenever I use mine it makes my whole house smell. They also have some wonderful Christmas smells. I'm your newest follower!~ ஐRikki The Hive
It is definitely hard trying not to go crazy & just buy everything I see for home decor. I will have to try Scentsy Candles, thanks for the advice. And thanks for being a new follower of my blog!!! :)
I LOVE Christmas music too - although my husband has a strict no-Christmas-music-until-after-Thanksgiving policy :)
I am originally from Canada too, so I know what you mean about cold! So many Halloweens I had to wear a winter coat over my costume (lame!) because it was freezing outside :)
Ha ha ha... Yes it was a little different experiencing my first Halloween here, where as you stated most kids had their costumes covered with coats, hats, etc.but I am really enjoying it! I just have to "Adapt" as I explain to everyone I know. When it started getting cold in September my "Mississippi" self was ready to get out there & go X-Mas shopping but my husband had to remind me MANY times that is was not November yet... ha ha... Thanks for stopping by!!!
Congrats on your new home!! That is so exciting! And decorating is so much fun! I need to start getting my Christmas music out! It's never too early to start, especially since the holiday season always seems to fly by! I'm in San Diego, and some days it still feels like summer here! I am waiting for the cooler weather to settle in so I can get out all my fall/winter clothiers! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!!! Yes I am super excited to start decorating for X-Mas already with having our 1st home & all. Ugh.. lucky you with the warm weather. I was excited it got into the high 40's today. I'll switch weather with you anyday. :)
So glad you stopped by my blog! I grew up in Louisiana, and I thought that Virginia fall and winter were so cold! I have now gotten used to and love the seasons!
