I am linking up with Miss Kindergarten on her Teaching Tip Linky Party.
One of the most important teaching tips that come to mind is DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT! I document everything... I record all parent conferences, phone calls, e-mails, and even just small chit-chat. I also document, copy and keep all student assessment and some of their class work. Too much documentation never hurt anyone is what I think because if you ever need to back yourself up with principals, parents, etc. you will have the proof.
Assessments and class work are some of the best types of documentation for those students who may need extra help, tutoring, or possibly repeat in the future.
I agree completely with documenting!!! It will save you so much stress.
